Notre Dame commit Pano Fimis stays hot in his OA year as his four point effort Thursday night propelled the Erie Otters to a 3-1 series lead over the Saginaw Spirit.
The Otters like games one and two, had a period wave. Thursday night it was the third. Where Fimis started the period with two goals of his own to give the Otters a 5-3 lead. Sam Alfano also had a goal and three assist performance, lifting Erie to victory.
Noah Erliden stop 31 of 34 Saginaw shots where he answered the bell in this one tonight when called on. Kaleb Papineau allowed seven goals on 36 shots in defeat as Saginaw are still without their starting goaltender Andrew Oke.
The Spirit will look to lock down defensively as they enter must win territory now on the season. Game five will be 7:05 in Saginaw at the Dow Event Center.
