The Oshawa Generals will have a chance to close out their first round series tomorrow night after a 4-1 road win over the Brampton Steelheads on Thursday at CAA Centre.
Beckett Sennecke opened the scoring at the 17:31 mark of the first period, finishing off a great feed from Calum Ritchie to give the Generals a 1-0 lead heading into the intermission.
Early in the second period, Sennecke struck again, as the Anaheim Ducks prospect tallied his fourth goal in as many games.
Porter Martone got the Steelheads on the board with a power play marker to make it 2-1.
The NHL draft-eligible forward continues to raise his stock with a strong postseason showing.
With 37 seconds left to play in the middle frame, Luke Torrance restored the Generals two-goal advantage with his first of the playoffs.
After recording a hat trick in his last game, Owen Griffin added some insurance late in the final frame, making it 4-1 with under three minutes to play tallying into an empty net.
Jacob Oster, who won 32 games in the regular season, was sharp again helping the Generals take a 3-1 series lead.
Brampton and Oshawa return to action tomorrow, with Game 5 set for Friday night at the Tribute Communities Centre.
