With London already punching their ticket to the OHL Championship series, the Oshawa Generals were looking to join them for the second straight season. As for the Colts, they were looking to repeat the Kitchener Rangers second round series against Windsor and begin their climb towards a reverse sweep.

It took all of 15 seconds for the Barrie Colts to get on the board. Or so they thought. The puck would enter the net behind Jacob Oster however, the play would get called back as the Colts were offside entering the zone so the game would remain scoreless. After taking the first two games in Barrie, the Generals looked to take full command of the series in front of a packed house in Oshawa, on the day it was announced that a 30-year extension to continue playing hockey at the Tribute Communities Centre was agreed upon, with multiple renovations taking place over the coming years.

The Barrie Colts would quiet the crowd at the Tribute Communities Centre early, much like the Generals did in game 2. It would take all of 2:20 for Riley Patterson to beat Jacob Oster upstairs to give the Colts a 1-0 lead. Gardiner and Tiller collected the assists on the games opening goal. The London Knights travelled to the historic Kitchener Memorial Auditorium and went up 3-0 in the best of seven series with a 3-2 road victory.

The Knights opened the scoring thanks to a tip from Landon Sim for his 8th goal of the postseason on a Sam Dickinson point shot. The Rangers would not go away as Luke Ellinas would even up the contest just a few minutes later coming down the left wing and beating Austin Elliott, who was riding a 22-game unbeaten streak in the net.

London would get their lead back as Winnipeg Jets prospect Jacob Julien would get his third goal in the last two games on the man advantage, stepping up in the absence of captain Denver Barkey who went down late in the opening contest.

The Oshawa Generals took care of business on the road with a 7–1 win over the Barrie Colts on Sunday evening at Sadlon Arena.

After back-to-back victories, Oshawa now leads the Eastern Conference Championship Series 2–0, with the series shifting to Tribute Communities Centre for Game 3 on Tuesday night.

It didn’t take long for the Generals to strike, as Beckett Sennecke opened the scoring just 24 seconds into the contest, burying the game’s first shot. The Anaheim Ducks prospect also delivered a tone-setting hit on the same shift.
