The Buffalo Sabres are off to a 4-4-1 (nine points) and had their four game point streak snapped on Wednesday night as they fell to the Philadelphia Flyers 3-1. Over a four‑game stretch from Oct. 12–17, the Sabres were without their captain and best player, Rasmus Dahlin, who has been sidelined with a lower‑body injury. In past seasons, losing Dahlin for any amount of time usually meant the team was in trouble, they wouldn’t just drop games, they wouldn’t even pick up points.
